Southampton are plotting to replace Claude Puel with Thomas Tuchel, reports claim. Tuchel left Borussia Dortmund three days after winning the German Cup. Puel has lead Saints to an 8th-place finish in the league and EFL Cup runners-up.
2.) Atletico Madrid transfer ban upheld:-
In latest transfer news regarding the transfer ban, the Court of Arbitration For Sport rejects Atletico Madrid transfer ban appeal. This directly means the club cannot buy players from other clubs. They can sell players if needed.
3.) Manchester United back down on Griezmann transfer:-
Manchester United have cooled their interest to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico. The club feels the transfer ban imposed on the Madrid club will make the striker’s selling price even more non-negotiable.
Further, Mourinho has many players who can play in that No.10 role. So, if Griezmann was needed as a support striker, then it is the right decision to back down from this buy.
